Real, but maybe not deep

I always laugh when I see I have someone new "following" my blog. It makes me laugh because I wonder why anyone would follow me these days considering I'm posting only like twice a month. The funny things is I lay in bed at night and think of things that I would love to get out of bed and write about....but I don't. Yes, there is some sense of discipline in my life now when it comes to blogging.

On a complete side note, I find that if I'm on my computer before bed, I can't sleep! Someone shared with me that you secrete some kind of brain chemical from the lights of the computer screen that prevents you from sleeping. I believe it is quite true.

Now that I started this post, I'm realizing that I have no idea where I want it to go. There are plenty of subjects that I could write about right now. But, I don't know how deep I feel like being at 11pm.

The other fact is that I have no idea what you enjoy reading. I've done this before and it takes me months to finish, but I'm feeling adventurous, so I will do it again. What do you want to hear about? Any "burning" questions? Do you want family life stuff, adoption stuff, or deep stuff...like my thoughts? That alone comes with a word of caution.

Seriously, I've struggled with determing if I should blog about my everyday family life or posting a devotional....I have SOOO many ideas for a devotional from my life:)

Deep or not so deep...it doesn't matter. Whatever I write on will be real...I always promise you that.

I love hearing about your family. But some devotional at times would be great also. So I guess I am not much of a help. You could alternate every other post, so we get some family life stuff and then your deep thoughts on different things.

Tell us about what you are learning about God through the everyday things...A devotion, as you said, using your everyday life as an example. Or just telling us what you learned that day.

Devotions and family life - my two favs! I know what you mean about the computer screen before bed. If I play a game - I can see that game screen imprinted on my brain as I try to sleep! Weird.

What kind of vehicle are you carting all those kids around in? How do you arrange the car/ booster seats? (Who's in which row?) And are you blasting kid music, grown-up music or NOTHING as you bounce down the road?

To answer my own questions: Ford mini van. Big boys in the back seat because they can strap themselves in. Ellie and baby boy in the middle row where I can reach the buckles. ;)

I love to see life as it happens.... I fly by the seat of my pants and that is what I blog about. I guess that is what I love about your blog! You and I are kindred spirits :) I too have a hard time sleeping after blogging, but, I also have a hard time sleeping if I don't blog!!! Hugs to you my friend!

The only question I have is "do you want to get together before the kids go back to school?" ... and one more "why does it always take us all summer to get together?"

So you are laughing at me? Harrumph. As for what to blog about - most embarrassing moments are always good. Adoption stuff. Devotionals that are real rather than cheesy. Thoughts cuz I like to be scared. Heh.
