3 more days!!
Well, only like 2 1/2 until we meet our daughter!!!
It still feels very surreal. I was very emotional when our plane left the ground in Chicago. I couldn't believe that we were doing this. I was also very emotional when we 1st saw the mountains of Beijing from our plane. To know we are so close to her now is just amazing.
We actually have been enjoying our time in Beijing. I was hoping that I wouldn't be too distracted to enjoy the sites and enjoy our last days of alone time. Both of us are excited to meet her, but not overwhelmed because it STILL doesn't feel like it will happen.
Before coming, I really tried to learn some basic Chinese phrases to speak with her. I learned, "I am your mama" and "I am your daddy."
However, the whole inflection thing has us thrown....apparently before we practiced with Angela (our guide), we were ready to say to our daughter, "I am your horse and I am your poop."
This poor child will probably run out screaming.:)
We may just stick with simple English and sign language:)
ps. sorry for all of the posts. We only have 1 english speaking channel and no child....one still has time on their hands:)

Oh my goodness ... the language thing is cracking me up! I guess Sha Sha would like that you are saying "you are my horse"! That is the funniest thing! I can't wait to see pics of you with YaoYao! I am a little confused with the time change ... but I will just keep checking back until I see her cute little face!
Don't apologize..I'm enjoying the posts! The food looks amazing! Looks like you guys are having a great time! Chris talked to your mom and she said you had a fever..we are praying for you. Can't wait to read the post after you have her!!!

First of all, I LOVE all the posts! keep them coming!! I want to hear every thought on your heart... it makes me feel like I am having tea with you while you just so happen to be picking up your new God given daughter! Post it all girl!!!!!!!!!!!
