Still counting down....

Can you believe it??? Guess how many days left until we leave?

Yes, I've been a blogger snob. I can't believe how time is flying! So you may be asking, "what have you been up to Flamingo?" Well, you may not be asking that, but I'm going to tell ya anyway!

We now have our Travel Approval in hand...

Just look at her precious little face!! That picture was taken 18 months ago...unbelievable!

So, when one receives an invitation to come to China, you have to buy plane tickets! So, we have them in hand! How crazy it was to see YaoYao's name on one of them! She's actually coming home with us folks!!
Sha Sha continues to be sooooo excited for her younger sister. She says, "I will calm her down mommy. I will calm her down."

Of course, the Ringleader is cool, calm and collected over the impending arrival of his sister.



You will hear about Lil' Rocker later.

Another exciting step has been setting up Miss YaoYao's bed!! Of course, we have really no idea what so ever how this is going to work. We do not know who will sleep where, but we are attempting to guess how it may look.

We have YaoYao's bed in Lil' Rocker's room. The Ringleader and ShaSha still share a room (please don't tell them that they will eventually separate! They will be quite upset!).

We are hoping that our youngest 2 will develop a wonderful bond through room sharing. Of course, we have NO idea if that will actually work. So it may be musical bedrooms for a while (we also have a 4th bedroom that we use as a playroom, but obviously can be used for a bedroom in an emergency).

However, one thing for certain is that YaoYao will not move around for quite awhile...the rest of the family will move around her. We want as little transistions as possible for her.

So, YaoYao, does not get a "girly girl" room yet. Of course, Sha Sha is still waiting for hers too, so they can celebrate pink together one day.

So here, is the rest of her room (and there is her roomie in the picture).

The frugal Flamingo strikes again. I couldn't decide what to do for a dresser for her. They are expensive and since we will be playing musical bedrooms for awhile, I didn't want to invest in a nice one yet as I have no idea what kind to buy.

So, I bought some plastic drawers for a total of $30.

Of course, they may serve another purpose. We asked Lil Rocker where YaoYao will sleep and he pointed to the plastic bins.

Great. He wants her to sleep inside a drawer. See what I mean about not knowing if this will work?

And just so he doesn't feel slighted...here is where Lil' Rocker rests his head of hair.

And yes, I am quite aware that he has a Bob the Builder pillow case and Winnie the Pooh sheets (with a teddy bear crib ruffle). My kids are allowed incredible creative freedom :)

So, we are ready for you to come home Yao Yao!

How could you not be excited when you will have this cutie pie for a roomie?
