Yes, I've been a blogger snob. I can't believe how time is flying! So you may be asking, "what have you been up to Flamingo?" Well, you may not be asking that, but I'm going to tell ya anyway!
We now have our Travel Approval in hand...
Of course, the Ringleader is cool, calm and collected over the impending arrival of his sister.

You will hear about Lil' Rocker later.

Another exciting step has been setting up Miss YaoYao's bed!! Of course, we have really no idea what so ever how this is going to work. We do not know who will sleep where, but we are attempting to guess how it may look.
We are hoping that our youngest 2 will develop a wonderful bond through room sharing. Of course, we have NO idea if that will actually work. So it may be musical bedrooms for a while (we also have a 4th bedroom that we use as a playroom, but obviously can be used for a bedroom in an emergency).
However, one thing for certain is that YaoYao will not move around for quite awhile...the rest of the family will move around her. We want as little transistions as possible for her.
So, YaoYao, does not get a "girly girl" room yet. Of course, Sha Sha is still waiting for hers too, so they can celebrate pink together one day.
So here, is the rest of her room (and there is her roomie in the picture).

So, I bought some plastic drawers for a total of $30.
Of course, they may serve another purpose. We asked Lil Rocker where YaoYao will sleep and he pointed to the plastic bins.

Great. He wants her to sleep inside a drawer. See what I mean about not knowing if this will work?
And yes, I am quite aware that he has a Bob the Builder pillow case and Winnie the Pooh sheets (with a teddy bear crib ruffle). My kids are allowed incredible creative freedom :)
So, we are ready for you to come home Yao Yao!
How could you not be excited when you will have this cutie pie for a roomie?
ps. and YES, I know his outfit doesn't match either!

It is sooo sweet looking at her bed & reading about how you guys are preparing for her & her own plane ticket home. Tears are threatening - and it isn't even my story!
Perhaps your little guy watched the Seinfeld's (SP?) episode with the china guy sleeping in the dresser drawer.
Your kids are soooo cute. I bought plastic storage bins and put his clothes in them. One for shirts, one for underwear and socks etc....I put picutres on the outside of the bins so that he will know which bin to get in. They are on shelves of his armoire and look very good. I can't believe we now leave in 8 days.
WOOOHOOOO! You are going to China. I still can't believe you are FINALLY going to China. I know you can't wait to see her little head on that pillow.
It is amazing to see her bed, and picture her THERE!!!!
Love the Lil Rocker pic. He is so cute!
Your sweet ones will be such wonderful supportive siblings!
9 days??!!!!!!!!!!!!!????
I can't wait!!!!!!!
It makes it look so much more real having everything all set up. Do you just look in that room and think about what she is going to look like laying there? Too sweet!
matching is overrated.
can't believe your countdown is in single digits!!! hooray!
Happy Happy Joy Joy!
I know you are so excited.
I am excited for you.

A
